Experiencia was founded in 1977 as one of the first Cuernavaca language schools with the goal to offer a first-class Spanish immersion program with an interesting extracurricular program.

Experiencia Tepoztlan is a small and friendly language school. Both its students and the teachers experience the school as their second home characterized by an easy and relaxed atmosphere.

Experiencia has always been strongly committed to Mexican culture and traditions. Lectures on history, culture and contemporary social events are an important part of the program and are also attended by many Mexicans.

EXPERIENCIA Tepoztlán was created with the objective of offering another option to students who would prefer a more rural environment, EXPERIENCIA Tepoztlán offers student a		chance to meet traditional local families and live in a colonial town. At the same time students also have contact with people who work in large cities like Mexico City and Cuernavaca.
	As a result, they interact with people from all parts of México, learning about both the cosmopolitan culture of México as well as typical Mexican customs in this enchanting village.

EXPERIENCIA TEPOZTLÁN

Tepoztlán, which means "place of broken stones" (in the indigenous Nahuatl dialect). These rocks have a particular identity. In the place where the mountains rise, is an ancient pyramid known as Tepozteco. This mountain radiates because of the secret symbols, the prehistoric monuments, the abyss of the deep unknown which happens day by day until the high rocks reach the sky with their fingers of imagination. It's wonderful to contemplate this huge jungle and its exuberant existence . The tropical plants make this place a hidden paradise for everybody. There are lots of leafy trees and a great variety of mushrooms. The fruits trees will guide your through the winding paths, while the flowers adorn your journey. The song of the birds will accompany you. The subtropical weather, the quality of the earth and the mist define the local geography. Its 20 thousand hectares of forest make it look like a huge nursery.

Many of the local plants have medical uses. That's why it has been considered a sacred valley since the prehispanic epoch. It's located only 46 miles from the largest city in the world, preserving aspects of culture that date back to pre-Colombian times.

Visible from certain hillside peaks in Cuernavaca (20 Min. away), Tepoztlan has less air pollution and noise. It's set apart enough to preserve its unique feel, but only a hearbeat away from major transportation arteries. This convenient location provides easy access to Cuernavaca, México city, Taxco, Acapulco, and other recreational, archeological and tourist destinations.
